1999

We arrived on site at about 9 p.m.Thursday after a few chugs and splutters from Yiker`s van,

We then put our Krypton Factor skills to the test by assembling the frame tent we had

borrowed for the weekend, In the dark. Once erected and furnished we retired to the

comfort of Franky`s Top Club for Beverages and Tunes.

We set up the gear on Friday afternoon and waited for everyone to turn up.

The Folks from Clitheroe arrived shortly and we kicked off the proceedings at 6 p.m.

After a quick and blistering hour`s Thrapping we spent the rest of the evening watching

the other bands on the main stage.

Saturday was another pretty laid back day spent floating round the site checking out

the Bikes andstalls etc. then we kicked in again at 6 to get the night off to another

flying start. We then went off to check out Hogg`s Head on the main stage whom

we enjoyed greatly, particularly dancing to the Irish Rover with someone else

Doing all the work.

Back to work for us at 9 and we played 2 Brilliant sets to a Fantastic Audience

in the beer tent, we were really buzzing after that and really want to thank

everyone there for giving us such a great response.

Well did we PARTY ON ? (Do Bikers Shit in the Portaloos provided ?)

Sunday was a slow starter but picked up pace to about 240kmh as we watched

Heinz-Harold Frentzen win the Monza Grand Prix for Jordan.

Did we laugh when Mika was crying in the bushes ?

Absolutely not ! We`re British Gentlemen !

Sunday night was Party Night for all those Lords and Ladies in Flourescent Jackets

who had been working their socks off for the last few days, weeks, even months

to make it happen for the rest of us.

We were welcomed into the marquee with an enormous cheer followed by the

swift and mysterious disappearance of all our guitars.

Not to be perturbed we belted out an Acapella version of Finnegans Wake

after which the guitars were returned in great haste.

We still did an Acapella of Homophobia though justto teach `em.

The Show went great and we finally had to deploy rubber nuclear warheads

to get off stage. Did we PARTY ON AGAIN ?

Monday was a very slow starter but somehow we managed to finally have a

walk round the castle before setting off back.

All in All this was a most enjoyable weekend the weather was great, this site

is in a great setting and was well organised and most reasonable in prices all round.

We would all like to thank all the people involved in Stormin`

the Castle, particularly Jane and Oz, and Michelle and Pete

who sorted it all out for us.
