Only £5 (+£2 p+p) cheques/P.O.s/cash to:- Celtic Cross, 22 Corporation St., Clitheroe, Lancs., BB7 1DW, England PROGRESS REPORT Serious hassles from the tape machine saw us reach tuesday afternoon with only Mutha Nature recorded. Wednesday lunch I completely erased the new backing for McAlpine`s Fusiliers one of only three songs which we had managed to synch correctly, (or in laymans terms one of three songs which the backing was played from the computer and not the tape. ) Grim determination saw us add All for me grog, These Situations, Place we belong, The Greenfields of France, by close of buisness about 11.30 wed night. After an all night sesh wed I managed to conjure up a backing for Genuine which We promptly recorded Thursday morning along with just about the craziest version of Theme ( something like a cross between Sabre Dance - Love Sculpture & The Gift - Velvet Underground ) Talk about contrast ! Some how by Friday night we`d also managed to get downrough mixes of She`s got Rhythm, Star of the county down, Something to belive in, Botany Bay, Whiskey in me Giro, And of course McAlpine`s to the ghost track. Nigel rings up Saturday night says he`s leaving A.M.S. So we can`t have the SMPTE unit after Monday so I`m up all bloody last night as well redoing the backing to McAlpine`s so we can do the final mix down Sunday night for the 3 songs we synched Anyway I did it and it`s better than the last one SO THERE ! So here we are about midnight Sunday 13 songs recorded (and sounding mighty good I might add) Thanx to the Technichal Wizardry of the Right Unrev. Dr. Waggledance.
Momday 30th November Everything has been recorded (I think) And some have been mixed down I`m listening to Spaceships right now and it`s amazing how we`ve got it sounding like this after the jumled mess we started off with. Chip and Matt have done really well cos we didn`t do nowhere near enough practice before hand and we`ve managed to knock together 3 really smart tunes which make an excellent contrast to our usual sound and along with the acoustic stuff we`ve included add even more variety to the album. So we`ve got 16 and hope to finish the mixing this week so I can get it off to be copied,get the covers done, cover `em up an` ship `em out ! Maybe even by mid Dec as Promised. It`s been a lot of bloody work, but most of it has been fun and I think we`ve done a good job, certainly not short of a few tracks and no end to the variety of styles. Tuesday 9th December O.K. Everythings recorded, Mixed Down and sorted a jolly little Minidisc Chocked full of yuletide goodies is winging it`s way down to Mirror Image Ready to be churned out en masse in your general direction. BUY LOADS OF THESE SO WE CAN AFFORD AN 8 TRACK Then we`ll be able to do these all the time, We`ve already got our next two planned out and also plan to release CHAD by Devil`s Chocolate toothpaste A 12 track album by a band we had a while back For those of you interested in our shady past
